MLB Blue Printed Streetwear T-Shirt—Special Offer Review: The Agent QC Photos vs the Parcel — Nine Frames, One Blue Back Print
We set nine agent QC frames beside the parcel that landed, weighed the shirt because the listing showed 0.00 kg, and measured the blue back print under the lightbox.

- Hands-on score
- 4.2 / 5
- Editor verdict
- A light, loose milk-silk polyester tee whose measured blue back print held alignment through two cold washes. The QC photographs matched the parcel in colour, not in hand-feel or print scale, so measure and inspect on arrival.
- What works
- Blue back print measured roughly 33 x 35 cm with clean edges and no bleed-through on the reverse panel.
- What works
- Loose M–5XL cut landed within 0–1 cm of the listing chart on our XL sample.
- What works
- 186 g sample — light summer fabric that dries fast and adds almost nothing to shipping weight.
- Watch-outs
- The listing weight field is blank (0.00 kg), so the 180–250 gsm claim stayed unverified.
- Watch-outs
- No independent buyer record exists for this SKU, and two washes cannot settle print durability.
- Watch-outs
- Category reports describe MLB-branded tees as thin with cheap prints — inspect the graphic closely on arrival.
- Who this suits
- Buyers who want a $3.73 loose-cut polyester summer tee in M–5XL with a large graphic back print, and who will check print alignment, seams and flat measurements themselves.
- Who should skip
- Anyone who wants cotton's absorbency, a premium-feeling print, or buyer reports on this exact SKU before ordering. If print quality is the priority, the category record argues for paying more.
Editor score 4.2 / 5
We ordered the MLB Blue Printed Streetwear T-Shirt—Special Offer (SKU 7718820120) through our agent at $3.73, down from a listed $4.37, and it arrived at the Rotterdam desk where every garment we score is opened. Our sample is the white colourway carrying the large blue back graphic: an interlocking NY mark assembled from stars and thorn-like shapes, with printed lettering below it. The listing describes a pullover, loose cut, crew neck, regular short sleeve, polyester under the fabric trade name milk silk, ordinary thickness at 180–250 gsm, breathable, summer 2024, sizes M to 5XL, with a stated 1–3 cm measurement tolerance across 39 print and plain variants.
Nine agent QC photographs reached us before the parcel did. Putting those frames next to the physical garment is the spine of this review: on a $3.73 graphic tee, the print and the stitching are effectively the whole product, and a photograph is a poor witness to both.
What the nine QC frames could and could not tell us
The set covered the folded tee front and back, the neckline, the hem and one close-up of the printed lettering. Colour tracked accurately — the blue read the same on our screens and under the 5600K lightbox, and the white base was not a warm or grey off-white in either record. What the frames could not deliver: fabric hand, whether the fine thorn detail stayed crisp at the print edge, and the actual size of the back graphic. We measured those ourselves after opening the parcel.
Flat measurements against the listing chart
Our sample was a size XL. Laid flat under the lightbox and measured with a steel tape, against the numbers the listing gives:
| Measurement (XL) | Our tape | Listing chart |
|---|---|---|
| Chest, flat, pit to pit | 56 cm | 57 cm |
| Body length, shoulder to hem | 71 cm | 72 cm |
| Shoulder width, seam to seam | 50 cm | 51 cm |
| Sleeve length, shoulder seam to cuff | 21 cm | 21 cm |
| Hem width, flat | 55 cm | 56 cm |
Every figure sat 0–1 cm under the chart, well inside the 1–3 cm tolerance the listing declares. That does not mean the shirt runs small in the ordinary sense — the cut is deliberately loose, so an XL sits off the body rather than on it. It does mean the flat numbers are the only reliable sizing guide here: there is no independent buyer record for this SKU, and the fit advice circulating for cotton tees does not transfer to a polyester shirt.
The listing showed 0.00 kg, so the parcel went on the scale first
The weight field on this listing is empty, which tells a buyer nothing about shipping cost or fabric heft. Our XL sample weighed 186 g on the 0.1 g bench scale. We cannot convert that to grams per square metre without cutting a swatch out of the panel, so the 180–250 gsm claim remains a listing figure, not something we confirmed. Practically, 186 g is a light short-sleeve tee: it packs flat, dries quickly and carries almost no shipping weight.
The blue back print, measured on the bench
We laid the shirt back-up and measured the printed area at roughly 33 cm across by 35 cm tall, sitting between the shoulder blades with the lettering line below it. Ink sits on the surface rather than soaking into the knit — the reverse of the panel showed no bleed-through under transmitted light. Felt across the grain, the graphic has a slight raised hand, roughly the thickness of a second layer of paper. At the thorn and star detail, edges stayed defined at arm's length; under a loupe we could see faint antialiasing where the fine points end, which is normal for a printed graphic at this price rather than a fault.
A working day on three body types
- 178 cm / 74 kg tester in L: loose through the chest and waist, shoulder seam dropped onto the upper arm as the cut intends, hem at hip.
- 165 cm / 58 kg tester in M: visibly oversized, sleeves past mid-upper-arm, print reading large across the back.
- 182 cm / 95 kg tester in 2XL: relaxed without strain at the chest, no pulling across the back when the arms crossed.
Across a working day indoors and a 40-minute walk, the fabric stayed dry and did not cling; the print did not stick to a backpack strap or lift. Breathability here is the ordinary kind — a thin knit passing air, not a mesh. The trade name milk silk is worth a note, because it gets read two ways: the fibre the listing names is polyester, and the fabric is a soft-hand polyester knit sold under that trade name, not the milk-protein fibre that shares the name.
Two cold washes, then the honest limit of that test
Two 30 °C machine washes, line dried, no tumbler. The blue graphic kept its alignment and showed no cracking or flaking under the loupe; the white body picked up no blue transfer. The neckline held its shape but softened slightly at the rib. Two washes is not a durability verdict, and we would not present it as one.
What the community record says, and what it leaves open
"The t-shirts are the thinnest and lightest material I've ever seen and the printing is very cheap and low quality." — r/mlb thread on MLB-branded apparel
That is a category complaint about MLB-branded apparel generally, not a report on this SKU, and we found no independent buyer record for this exact item. We keep it in view because print is the weak point buyers name most often, and because it is the item our own sample most had to answer for.
On arrival we ran the wider authentication guidance used for MLB logo tees: fabric soft yet durable, no loose threads or irregular stitching, consistent colour and pattern alignment across the graphic. Our sample passed the stitching and alignment items — overlocked seams were clean, no loose threads at the hem, lettering uniform in weight. Buyers in one community thread also describe polyester blends as holding shape where cotton shrinks, which is category context rather than a result we can claim for this shirt.
The $3.73 question
This shirt costs less than the shipping line that carried it. That is the real frame for the purchase: you are buying a light printed polyester tee with a large back graphic, not a premium garment. Judge it on print alignment, seam finish and flat measurements on arrival — all three are checkable in two minutes and all three are what separate this sample from the complaints in the category record. The 39-variant list means the visual outcome across floral, letter and plain options depends heavily on which print you choose, and the photographs on the listing remain the only preview of that.
- How we tested
- Ordered through our agent and opened under the 5600K lightbox. Compared nine agent QC frames with parcel contents; measured flat dimensions against the listing chart with a steel tape; weighed the XL sample on a 0.1 g bench scale; walked three body types through a working day; two cold washes before the print verdict.

How big is the blue graphic on the back?
On our size XL sample the printed back motif measured roughly 33 cm wide by 35 cm tall, sitting between the shoulder blades with the lettering line beneath it. Sizes above and below XL were not measured, so treat that as our sample figure.
Does the shirt weigh what the listing says?
The listing gives no weight at all. Our XL sample came in at 186 g on the 0.1 g bench scale, which is light for a short-sleeve tee. The 180–250 gsm fabric claim stays unverified because confirming it would require cutting a swatch.
Should I size up as I would with cotton?
No. This is a loose polyester cut with a stated 1–3 cm tolerance, and our measurements ran slightly under the chart rather than over. Compare the flat chest and body length against a tee you already own; community sizing-up advice applies to cotton, not to this fabric.
