Een redactie rond pakketten
Kakobuy News werd in 2021 in Rotterdam opgericht door Marcus Feld en Priya Raghavan, die begonnen met het delen van een spreadsheet met agentkosten, magazijnfoto's en levertijden tussen hen twee. Tomas Lindqvist sloot zich in 2022 aan om de tarieventabellen opnieuw op te bouwen, en de spreadsheet werd een publicatie.
We zijn drie redacteuren en geen verkoopteam. Ons testteam bestelt de items waarover het schrijft, betaalt met eigen kaarten en houdt de pakketten. De redactie behandelt shoppingagents en de producten die mensen via hen kopen: agentkosten en consolidatie, QC-magazijnfoto's, doorlooptijden van verzenddiensten, maten en pasvorm, batchconsistentie en het papierwerk dat bepaalt wat een pakket aan de deur kost.
Hoe de redactie werkt
Marcus leidt de tweewekelijkse haul-test en tekent elke score af. Priya behandelt kleding, schoeisel en QC-fotoverificatie. Tomas onderhoudt de geversioneerde tarieventabellen en de notities over invoerrechten en drempels die onder elke verzendvergelijking staan. Alles wat met een score naar buiten gaat, is besteld, geopend en behandeld door ten minste een van ons.
Wat we niet doen
We accepteren geen betaling voor een review, we laten een agent geen score voorafgaand aan publicatie inzien, en we draaien geen gesponsorde ranglijsten. We verdienen affiliatecommissie op sommige links, wat we vermelden op de pagina's die ze bevatten.

Marcus Feld serves as editor-in-chief at Kakobuy News and personally runs its fortnightly consolidated-haul test. The work covers agent fee structures, shipping line selection and cross-border delivery timing, with order records spanning payment, warehouse receipt, QC photo posting and delivery. Weighing parcels on arrival and rebuilding delivered costs from invoices bring the physical shipment and its charges into the comparison table. The same three-item basket is also rerun every 90 days, alongside the regular consolidated-haul tests, as part of Marcus's examination of costs and timing.

Reviews Editor
Priya Raghavan leads reviews at Kakobuy News, focusing on apparel fit, sneaker sizing and batch consistency. Each garment is photographed on arrival in the same 5600K lightbox, measured flat against the listing chart and checked alongside the agent's QC images. Testers across three body types wear apparel through a full working day, while footwear is walked on wet pavement. These procedures bring warehouse photographs, delivered-item measurements and wear conditions together before a fit verdict is written, giving Priya's review work a defined sequence from arrival to use.

Research Editor
Tomas Lindqvist maintains the versioned fee and shipping tables behind Kakobuy News comparisons. Current public rate cards provide the basis for rebuilding agent fee schedules, while identical declared weight and volume inputs are run through the calculators to examine checkout charges. Every table is dated, and earlier versions are retained for correction checks. Duty thresholds and exchange rates are reviewed on the same 90-day cycle as the haul tests, connecting price calculations, version records and cross-border conditions within the desk's ongoing research work.
